If you are going to paint Georgian Bay, it helps to get your feet wet. Spending time in the landscape is an important part of my process. Whether it’s standing on a rugged shoreline or in a field with horses my goal is to capture how it felt in that moment.

Samantha Reimer is a watercolour artist based in Oro-Medonte, Ontario. Her paintings are expressive interpretations of local landscapes, shoreline scenes and the richness of everyday rural life. Samantha discovered an interest in painting with watercolour five years ago, and has since expanded her skills in different mediums including willow charcoal, acrylic and oil paints. An avid plein air painter, Samantha shares her experiences painting outdoors on her YouTube channel, hosting in-person workshops and taking part in local exhibitions.
